HEMSING FESTIVAL 2019

Roots and Branches

Welcome to the Hemsing Festival 2019!

This year’s main theme is roots and branches.

A tree grows roots both upwards and downwards, and it is in this spirit we are presenting both tradition and innovation. With the word branches we want to include both the past and the future. Everything has a story from which we can create new art.

Roots and traditions are our treasure chest and foundation for new impulses, creativity and art. We have assembled a program for the festival which reflects both history and new creations.

This year, the Hemsing Festival wishes to especially recognise the contemporary composer Lasse Thoresen. Several of his works will be performed during the festival.

Festival pass: NOK 2,200

The festival also offers reduced prices for children ages 0-16 years old, and for those with subscriptions to “A-kort”.
